At the entryway of Aphrodite's Temple we have a set of rules that each person must agree to follow before coming into the Temple. While these rules work well for the Temple, they are also applicable for people to use if they want to host a sex play party. I have used these for a sex play party in the past. It fosters a sense of safety for each individual who attends the Temple and/or a play party. The rules are as follows:

The Sacred Sex Temple is a space for adults only. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
Participate actively. If you choose observation as your form of participation, observe actively. Do not "vampire" energy from the group. Allow energy to flow back to the group. Raise erotic energy. Masturbation is permitted as an active form of participation. Erotic drumming, erotic chanting, and producing erotic sounds are permitted as long as it is conducive and contributes to the energy of this space.
Inside the temple is an erotic attire / nudity only space. Street clothes are not allowed.
If you choose to participate more actively, obtain permission before engaging with others. No means no and needs no explanations. Do not take it personally. Realize that no means that at this time, the energy is not right to actively participate. Move on to another activity and/or person as is appropriate.
Have the ability to say no, when the energy is not right for you. If you are not able to say no, we cannot say no for you. Please do not attend if you are not able to take responsibility for your self.
The BDSM principles of safe, sane, and consensual apply in this space. Be clear with your partner(s) about safe words and safe signals. If you have questions, ask one of the temple workers.
Practice safe sex. Supplies are on hand. Communicate what safe sex practices will be observed with play partners. Different people have different safer sex practices. If you err, make errors on the overly cautious side. In other words, use barriers such as latex gloves, condoms, and safe sex supplies in such a way that no bodily fluids are possible to exchange. Wear latex gloves when touching another's genitals or anal area. Wash toys as is appropriate for that toy. We have a wash and rinse area for toys and a hot water shower for bodies.
Clean your self and your play area immediately after a scene (a scene includes the cool down period). Receptacles are available for disposable items.
Communication is crucial. Obtain permission with fellow players about specific acts that you want to engage. It is ok to invite others into your play scene. This can be a verbal or non-verbal communication. The key is to communicate and receive/give feedback on all communications before taking actions. It can be as simple as a hand gesture inviting you into a scene and you pointing to yourself as a feedback mechanism. When you receive an affirmative nod, join in. The important thing is to communicate, provide feedback to double check communications, and obtain permission before engaging in behaviors with others. You cannot undo a behavior.
Do not interrupt a scene that is in progress. This also includes obtaining permission to join in on a scene. If the players involved in a scene want you to join in, they will invite you in. Otherwise, observe the scene or start your own scene. We have an area for meeting fellow players, negotiating with them about what activities will take place in a scene, and discussing your safer sex definitions.
Casual conversation is not permitted in the play space. You are welcome to softly drum, chant, or create sounds which add to the erotic environment, as long as it is not obtrusive to those playing in scene.
Breaking any of these rules are grounds for expulsion. You will be asked to leave without further discussion. I will be happy to discuss the matter after the event if you so desire.
Enter with Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Do not bring negative issues into this space. This is a sex positive environment. Enjoy yourself and have fun!
